Challenge: Redesign the guestrooms and guest corridors of a 1980 hotel in Clarksville, TN. The design of DoubleTree by Hilton Clarksville Riverview was heavily influenced by its position and perspective on the Cumberland River. An earthy, river-inspired color palette is combined with bold, punchy details to create a fresh aesthetic. In the guestroom corridors, moody lighting and a sophisticated carpet pattern guide guests to their rooms. Upon arrival at each floor, guests are greeted by large-scale, nature-inspired photography. Guest rooms feature a graphic carpet pattern that offers a modern interpretation of the river’s flowing currents, adding a playful and unexpected design element. The otherwise serene finishes in the rooms create a cozy yet modern space for the river and downtown vistas to shine.
