Challenge: Design a 1,200 SF restaurant to reflect the elevated diner concept and branding that has been meticulously cultivated in Chef Jeanes’ menu.

“…the excitement in the atmosphere was matched by the bustling feels of homestyle south meet modern but charming flavor combos”

“The interior design of the place is very reminiscent of old school, small town diners, giving it some comforting warmth.”

“So, so, good. I describe it as ‘Waffle House Chic’.”

The existing space, previously remodeled for a restaurant, embraced a cozy diner atmosphere but lacked the design details and finishes to make it feel refined. By strategically using finishes, furniture and lighting – such as graphic mosaic and terrazzo tile, laminate booths and tables, walnut paneled walls and classic globe pendant lights – the restaurant offers an ambiance reminiscent of a mid-century modern diner, evoking a sense of nostalgia.
